cgm earlier was quite awesome.
it’s always amazing how the power of God moves and touches people.
molly who battled with ovarian cancer for 3 years, passed away on 29 may 08.
visit her webby and see how she lived her life to the fullest by bringing encourangement to cancer patients, especially to women. her stories, testimonies and prayers to God are great inspirations.
previously i had a post of little samatha who lost her battle to cancer as well.
maybe, you are wondering, why have i been posting webbies of patients battling or had battled with such deadly diseases?
probably because i am able to identify with these group of people.
i had recently been suspected of having tumors in my pancrea and went through 2 traumatic checkups.
by the grace of God, tumors have not been detected. since then, i treasure this life God has given and couldnt be more thankful about being healthy.
there are many out there who waste their health away simply because they think they are not slim enough.
to me, health outweighs more than any other things else.
i believe you know what i’m referring to when you have a love one, who’s always in and out of hospital, or had a close shave with death. my dad is another classic story.
my next check up is in july, so do keep me in prayers.
dear heavenly Father, i pray for everyone, that they will walk in good health. amen.
“dear friend, i pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.” – 3 john 1:2
matt 19:26 nlt
Jesus looked at them intently and said, “humanly speaking, it is impossible. but with God everything is possible.”
yesterday’s pm was awesome. the presence of God was overwhelming and tangible. it’s those meeting where no one wanted to leave the temple of God, cos the Shekinah glory was present in the place. it was one of those meetings so marvelous, you wished every single meeting is like that..
i believe those who attended had encounters with God and received encouragement from the Lord one way or another.
personally, God prompting me of some doubts in my life, and He reminded me that if He has the power to raise the dead, there’s nothing He cant do. surely i have to place complete and total trust in Him my Lord, fidelity.
- God raised the widow’s son from the dead through elijah (1 kings 17:17-24 nlt)
- God raised the shunammite’s son from the dead through elisha (2 kings 4:31-37 nlt)
- Jesus raised the widow’s son from the dead in nain (luke 7:11-15 nlt)
- Jesus raised Jairus’s daughter from the dead (matt 9:18-19, 23-26, mark 5: 22-24, 35-43, luke 8:41-42, 49-56 nlt)
- Jesus raised lazurus who had died for 4 days (john 11:38-44 nlt)
- God raised tabitha from the dead through peter (acts 9:36-42)
- God raised a young mean from the dead through paul (acts 20:7-12)
- Jesus Himself was resurrected by the power of God (matt 28:5-9 nlt)
if God can raised the dead, is there anything He cant do?
no.
caught indiana jones in the evening and had some cozy time of catching up and sharing with wendy =)
we had a round captain’s ball matches and it was very very fun. i’m thankful we had more friends than expected. i’m thankful the weather was sunny and God kept the rain away. i think it was because jon and i prayed at the sound of the thunder haahaahaa. i’m thankful the ice breaker went well. i’m thankful the matches went smoothly and probably the cgs have a better sense of identity.
i’m looking forward to the next round of activities under the sun.
every day, i want to fall in love with Him again once more.
last night, pastor reminded us that the baton is in our hands and we are running in a relay race. he also asked where do we see ourselves 10, 20, 30 years from now.
i’ll happy to be able to serve God in my wrinkled skin with my aged husband, children, and grandchildren maybe.
at the same time, there were some people who came to my mind.
people who raised me up, brought me into zm and shared with me the mighty exploits they wanted to do for Christ.
there were also people whom i called friends and thought we would run this race together for eternity.
some of these people have progressed to a more challenging race and i’m very happy for them.
some of them have given up this race as they’ve lost the passion.
some have given up because of issues with people.
some gave up because of weariness.
some have gone to another stadium.
i remembered it was a pretty challenging times for me when the first 2, whom i was very closed to, dropped out of the race. for a moment, i felt lost and shepherdless. by and by, those whom i called friends also dropped out of the race.
whatever the reasons they have, i guess it’s because of them that i’ve become a little stronger and braver along the way.
i’m determine to raise up a new generation of believers who love God, bold to be world shakers and history makers, christians who will hold on to the baton dearly.
i’m not satisfied to see a one-generation-christians, one-generation-revivial.
leaders serve without expiry dates.
ralph nader:
i start with the premise that the function of leadership is to produce more leaders, not more followers.
last thursday, i fell sick in office and went home early. my temperature soared above 38 deg cel and i could feel heat emitting out of my body. it was a miracle i managed to have a conference call with jon and mei to discuss the games. well, if i had not threw up earlier, i would remain in a state of concussion.
my temperature remained above 38 deg cel on friday and i got my bro to sent me to the clinic. i was delighted when the doc prescribed me drugs for my fever. normally, the docs would advise me to sleep and rest well since i’m allergic to paracetemol. maybe because of my persistence high fever, he felt i really need some relieve, and he gave me nurofen (brufen). according to him, it’s a different family from paracetemol.
anyway, i came down with swelling of the eyes, running nose and blocked nose all at the same time. the swelling only subsided by sunday evening.
currently, i’m taking my faithful tramadol. however, it’s a better pain killer than a fever relief.
i’m having slight difficulties sleeping as i’m coughing in the night.. so keep praying for me.
thanks to my dearest elites who prayed for me and for the sms-es.. feel so loved!
thanks to all leaders who prayed for me =)
i was flipping through my brother’s study bible and realise it’s an awesome book of treasuries. this sudden thought of blogging some bible characters came and taa-daa, tonight i’m starting with 2 of my favourite characters. hope you’ll be blessed by this series of bible characters.
caleb
strengths and accomplishments
- one of the scouts sent by moses to survey the land of canaan
- one of the only two adults who left egypt and entered the promised land
- voiced the minority opinion in favor of conquering the land
- expressed faith in God’s promises, in spite of apparent obstacles
lessons from his life
- majority opinions is not an accurate measurement of right and wrong
- boldness based on God’s faithfulness is appropriate
- for courage and faith to be effective, they must combine words and actions
numbers 14:24 (nlt)
but my servant caleb is different from the others. he has remained loyal to me, and I will bring him into the land he explored. his descendants will receive their full share of that land.
joshua

- moses’ assistant and successor
- one of only two adults who experienced egyptian slavery and lived to enter the promised land

lessons from his life
- effective leadership is often the product of good preparation and encouragement

- a person committed to God provides the best model for us
numbers 27: 22-23 (nlt)
so moses did as the LORD commanded and presented joshua to eleazar the priest and the whole community. moses laid his hands on him and commissioned him to his responsibilities, just as the LORD had commanded through moses.
