my marcom manager- oscar’s very first child. baby gwyneth is very alert and cries very loudly!

i went jogging last night and discovered there’s a new park nearby.

it’s a tiny one though, but good enough to do some warm ups and downs.

i was sort of embarrass to admit just now.. that i was crying while talking to you.

thanks for your trunk call which meant so much to me.

i think i’m gonna cry when i see you again.

i love you kris =)

sunday

was still feeling unsettled as there were many things at the back of my mind. the flow of the games, the logistics especially. left for bedok after svc to hunt for hula hoops. on the bus ride home, was still figuring how to transport the 9 feet bamboos until bee came to the rescue. reached home, sorted the logistics and packed my stuff for camp. mei and i left near midnight and we picked wendy up. wahaahaa, the 3 of us had loads of logistics for the camp. reached camp site and got the men to help with the logis. the taxi uncle was very helpful and friendly.

settled down a bit and started prayer walk around the compound. truely the atmosphere broke through after we’ve prayed and lifted our plans to God. we continued to worship God in the canteen and pastor came along with suzy and sharon. we brought pastor, suzy and sharon through our night walk and it was so so great.

our night didnt end there.. we unpacked the logis, made the lollipops and obstacles. thank God for people who had gone thru odec and ns, otherwise, who knows what could have happened to my lollis.

we rested at 5am.

monday

rested our eyes and brains for 2 hours and woke up at 7am. we had a short meeting for a final run through and the people started streaming in. we all had bread for breakfast thanks to bee. while the participants had their lunch, win, wendy, mei and i set off for our games. there were some very helpful guys who came along.. but despite their help, the walk was more tough as we had simply too much things to carry. mei and i kept bursting out in laughters as the whole situation was just hilarious. halfway through our setting up, it started to drizzle and the rain clouds came. sms-ed kel and got him to pray for us. captain’s ball was the star game that afternoon. thank God all the games went very well and we had blazing sun. PTL!

in the evening, we had our first teaching session. cyn shared a very good testimony and kel shared a very fantastic message on dreams. that night, many people’s dreams were restored. chang song also gave his heart to Jesus! one more cchm added!

led the first team for the night walk. some teams from jephthah went the wrong way and reached much later. frankly speaking, it was a very stressful hour for me while waiting, especially when we couldnt reach them on their mobiles and win had not seen them crossed his path.afterall, it was so dark, they have never gone through the trial and they’re all so young. nonetheless God is good, everyone reached the promised land safely eventually.

anyway, the sky was full of glittery stars that night. that was my 3rd night walk in bukit timah but none of the previous occassions had so much stars. God is marvelous. i think He purposely filled the skys with stars for His young people to enjoy that beautiful moment.

slept that night near 5am again.

tuesday

pastor preached that morning session. personally, i was most blown away when pastor gave an altar call to those who have desire to be cell group leaders. 4 of my members responded PTL! when God spoke to me “these are your people”, tears just kept flowing down. i’m so proud of them and their decisions.

games that afternoon seems to be more challenging…

anyway, we ended on time and had the people to wash up for haute couture. celebrated birthdays for all june babies and we had some friends with us! the whole night was high to the max! had wanted to sleep on the bus but the people kept cheering.. heh heh well, but i like their excitment and attitude!

slept earliest that night at close to 4am..

wednesday

rain came but it didnt dampened the camp’s spirit. we all packed and left for our finale session at jw. while the people were having breakfast, i asked jephthah how their lived have been impacted by the camp and many of them have very good sharings and revelations. some shared how they have renewed passion to serve God, some shared about how they felt God has given them vision to lead their connect groups, some shared of how the God-way may seem challenging initially but God always has a way to bring them to the destination, some shared how they want to lay their lives down for God, some shared they’re just more in love with God through this camp.

i thought cher’s and beck’s testimonies were fabulous and encouraging. beck was one of the few who was selected to share on stage. looking at her sharing her testi on stage, it took moments for me to digest the fact that she has only been a christian for 4 months.

chang song also got baptised in the holy spirit that day.

after the prize presentation, pastor gave a thank you speech which brought me to tears. we ended the whole camp with “one voice” =)

after the many speeches and photo taking at riveria, had my last round of logistics packing before setting off to bento at jp for lunch at bento with pastor and all the youth and tertiary leaders. i must been too tired cos i ordered teriyaki bento and forgot that i’m supposed to be on veggie. so mei, lynn and jon had to finish off my chicken.. hahahha

reached home at 6plus, slept before 7pm and woke up at 7am the next day for work.

my journey these 3d3n

it’s been a very high and awesome camp. although the camp was only 3d2n, yet the preparation took us more than a month to prepare.

it was my first time working with all the youth leaders and i have mountains of good experience with them all.

it was my first time planning games so intensively.

it was my first time laying hands and praying for so many youth and saw them ministered in the power of God.

it was my first time sharing a word of encouragement to the youth.

though i was deprived of sleep, proper food and space in the dorm, yet each moment was ever a God-moment.

thank you pastor for believing in me when i flopped and flustered during the camp.

thank you camp commandant kel tan for trusting me with the programs and plans and ever guiding me with the games.

thank you cindy for being a wonderful listening ear, for looking through the games and logistics, trusting me with “build to last” and for your quick reimbursement.

thank you jon for helping out with the logistics since sunday night till breaking of camp. thank you for enduring my many late night sms-es, phone calls, humongous amount of emails and questions which now seems so silly and crappy. jon you’re the best-est house i/c!!

thank you cynthia for your endless smiles and encouragment. thank you for sharing your testimony which brought warmth to my heart and reminded me that God’s love is always unconditional and that i’m never alone.

thank you wendy for helping with the designing of the camp logo and the blog design. thank you for helping to buy my logistics when you already have so much to buy. thank you for working endlessly with the certificates.

thank you bee for helping to buy and transport my 4 x 9ft bamboos and for your varieties of bread. thank you for sharing a message which has blessed the members and leaders.

thank you xue min for your makeup remover and entrusting tommy with me!

thank you weiren for enlightening me with the logistics.

thank you lynn for helping with the admin and planning of the housing and lodging. numbers are never easy. thank for your enduring me when i lost my temper. you’re always the sunshine in the crowd.

thank you shannen for helping with the blog, taking photohraphs, making the video. the finale video couldnt be perfect on the screen without your sacrifice of sleep.

thank you edwin for your endless entertainment and your powerful insect repellent. thank you for making trips in the trails to look for my missing teams. thank you for your captain’s ball game which was a big hit.

thank you rae for compiling all the admin and all the paper work. you are the heroine of this camp!

thank you davis for jumping right into action as soon as you came back from your trip. you’ve worked as if you’ve been with us since the start of the planning! thank you for saving my fish again and again.

thank you huimei for sticking with me from the planning in the meeting rooms, hikings in the day and in the night, our late night conference calls, planning in my room, sharing of beds, offering your black tube to me, laughing hysterically together, crying together, eating together, to hearing my endless rants and for praying for me.. thanks dear.. i thought you’ve already come along way, but i’ve seen you stretched beyond your max in this camp. i’m still ever so proud of you. let’s go out for supper and jogging sessions k?!

thank you irene for making time to share a word of encouragement despite your busy schdule.

dearest leaders, like any events, we had unforseen hiccups, yet we all overcame the problems, grew stronger and better. thank you for making me part of this superb team. thank you for believing in me and enduring me even when i’m not at my best.. through you men and women of God, i see the power and love of God. i pray i’ll have more chances to work with you again and again. it’s been my priviledge to be able to serve God with all you mega- capacity leaders.

daniel 11:32

john 13: 3-5 (nkjv)
3 Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God, 4 rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself. 5 after that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.

information
unhappiness in relationships, according to dr. gary chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. sometimes we don’t understand our partner’s requirements, or even our own. we all have a “love tank” that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.
