let the photos do the talking..
to be joyful is one of my goals this year and i’m quite determine to want to be a happy woman!
unfortunately, “our society tends to encourage cynicism and people know how to complain more than they know how to be happy”- psychotherpist stepehn lew, of the positive psychology centre.
if you want to kick-start a happier life like me, here are some advice (adapted from “mind your body, 29 jan 09):
- count your blessings
- reflect on what really matters and re-chart your course to one that will bring joy, meaning and fulfilment to your life
- money cant buy happiness
- material ambitions can sometimes be our downfall in building a happy life, as a bigger income can often lead to more desires and expectations. spend more time engaging with family and friends instead.
- avoid “toxic” people
- avoid those who may bring you down with their persistently negative attitudes. conversely, happiness is infectious.
- show gratitude and appreciation
- maybe can start to blog consistently purely of the happy events in your life, write a letter to someone close to you to thank them for who they are and what they’ve done for you.
- keep things in perspective
- balancing your expectations with the reality of your situation and your own perception of things is essential in maintaining high spirits.
whee!
while gerry remembers that this year is a year of rebuilding..
gerry must not forget that rebuilding takes time.. it doesnt happen overnight..
once in a while, i still have to remind myself that i’m already attached to a significant other.
while i still have my personal space, it’s also about sharing my life and including him in the little details of my life.

while too much salt or pepper spoils the soup, salt and pepper compliments.
yesterday after work, i dropped by rw and sat in the secondary schools’ pm. seated at the last row, i saw the students in worship and prayer.
my eyes involuntarily zoomed upon my sheeps in their uniforms, even though class ended very late and they had their own share of long day in school, yet they still made it. i’m so proud of them.
that burden for youth works swept across my whole being like a tornado once more. it’s not just cchsm, but one wyz student in each cca, in each classroom, in each level, in every secondary school.
i still believe in the power of 1.
all it takes is one student with a burden for the lost, an obedience to share Christ and the willingness to avail themself for revival to take place.
amen.

my boyfriend’s coming back from bintan today! i hope he enjoyed himself there and that he’s more charged up after the retreat/ planning session.

i’m glad i’ve a life!
